Japan’s stocks rose; Asian markets slow due to holidays.

Japanese stocks rose after a previous decline, contributing to a 0.1% increase in the MSCI Asia-Pacific Index. Liquidity in the region remained weak due to closed markets for the Lunar New Year holiday. Investors are focusing on local events, with the spotlight on the speech by Bank of Japan Deputy Governor Ryozo Himino. The yen strengthened against the dollar, while the Indonesian rupiah and the Thai baht weakened.
