ASP Demands Withdrawal of PUP Plužine Plan Over Lack of Data and Field Surveys

ASP Demands Withdrawal of PUP Plužine Plan Over Lack of Data and Field Surveys!

Have you ever seen a plan to build an energy hub without properly consulting the local residents? Today, ASP (Action for Social Justice) raised their voice against the public discussion of amendments and supplements to the Spatial Urban Plan (PUP) of Plužine. Why? Because, in their opinion, the document is so incomplete that it should be withdrawn and redone from scratch — with all necessary data and field surveys of the residents.

A plan without real data? That’s like building a house without a foundation!

ASP claims the plan is incomplete and lacks relevant and complete information. How can the public and experts provide quality feedback then? No wonder they demanded to halt the public discussion until field surveys are conducted and all important data included.

The energy hub in Plužine — who’s for it, who’s against?

Building an energy hub is a big project that can change the life of the local community. But were the residents even consulted? ASP says no, and that’s a huge oversight. Without their input, the plan is doomed to fail or, worse, to conflicts and dissatisfaction.

Public discussion or a show for the public?

Public discussion is supposed to be an opportunity for citizens to express their views and suggestions. But if the plan is already written without real data and without consultations with the local population, it’s just a farce. ASP demands the plan be withdrawn, supplemented, and only then put back for public discussion — to do things properly, not hastily and irresponsibly.

What does this mean for the future of urban planning in Montenegro?

This case is just the tip of the iceberg. If such important decisions are made without transparency and citizen participation, we can expect more problems and dissatisfaction. ASP clearly stated they will not allow such things to happen without their fight for social justice and citizens’ rights.

Conclusion: Will the authorities listen to the voice of the people?

The PUP Plužine plan is currently in limbo. Will the authorities withdraw the document and approach the analysis and consultations seriously, or will they try to sweep it under the rug? Time will tell. But one thing is clear — citizens and organizations like ASP will not stay silent while their rights are trampled.

If you thought urban planning was a boring topic, think again! This case shows how important it is to follow what’s happening in your area. And if you have your own opinion or a funny urban planning story, share it — maybe you’ll make us all laugh or get us even more outraged!
