The tender commission for awarding the concession for Montenegrin airports, including Tivat and Podgorica airports, has extended the deadline for evaluating technical bids by 30 days, until July 9, to ensure transparency and competence in the process. The Government of Montenegro unanimously supported this decision. The commission is cooperating with international consultants from IFC World Bank to obtain additional opinions. The concession awarding process has been ongoing for seven years and has been subject to numerous controversies, including the disqualification of the South Korean company Incheon International Airports, which caused disagreements and threats to withdraw from the procedure. Prime Minister Milojko Spajić emphasized the importance of transparency and making the best decision in the interest of Montenegro.
