Belgrade is once again in the spotlight due to a brutal crime that shocked the public. A suspect has been arrested for attempted murder and robbery after stabbing a girl with a knife and stealing her wallet containing money and personal documents. The incident occurred on July 8th around 11:30 PM on the Southern Boulevard, and the injured girl was urgently treated at the Emergency Center with serious bodily injuries.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs in Belgrade, in cooperation with the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office, acted swiftly and arrested the suspect S.M., who will be detained for up to 48 hours before being brought before the competent prosecutor’s office. This case raises serious questions about safety in the capital and the effectiveness of police services.
