Belgrade Band Paks Wins 9th Bunt Rock Festival: Rock Is Alive and Kicking!

Belgrade band Paks smashed the 9th Bunt Rock Festival organized by RTS, proving that rock’n’roll in Serbia is not a sound of the past but the voice of a new, self-aware generation of musicians. With powerful riffs and raw emotion, Paks took home the golden lightning statuette, a cash prize, and a studio album recording with PGP RTS. The ninth edition of the festival was held over two semifinals and a final, where ten finalists battled for the title. Finalists included bands like Grešni Raj, Skelet Psiho Manijaka, Polsky, Irina Sace, O.K.O.T., San Gvida Hokaida, Vever, Switch Restore, and others. The runner-up was O.K.O.T., awarded the silver statuette and a cash prize, while third place went to San Gvida Hokaida, who received the bronze statuette and a cash prize. The expert jury consisted of renowned musicians and producers such as Maja Cvetković, Ivan Fece Firči, Milan Mladenović, Milena Agbaba, Miloš Ignjatović, and others. Besides the main awards, individual prizes were given for best vocals, guitar, bass, and drums, along with special recognitions for outstanding participants. Winners of the festival get the chance to perform at 11 prestigious music festivals across Serbia and the region during the summer, as part of the Bunt Rock tour.
