Belgrade Blockades and Violent Arrest: Chaos on the Streets and Weapons in the Trunk

Belgrade was thrown into chaos last night and this morning due to traffic blockades organized by protesters. They ripped out benches and placed containers and tires on main roads, completely stopping traffic. Police and gendarmes tried to disperse the blockers, but they quickly returned and blocked the streets again. Buses couldn’t pass, causing massive traffic jams. In Novi Sad, the situation was more stable, though there were earlier blockades there as well.

At the same time, in Inđija, Milan Čanak, son of Nenad Čanak and Marija Vasić, was arrested. Known for violent behavior and extremist views, he was found with illegal weapons, pepper spray, a fake police baton, body armor, and tactical gear. He allegedly planned to participate in a violent rally in Belgrade. His parents are known for anti-Serbian views and separatism. This situation shows that behind the blockades are people ready for violence and state destruction, and the state must respond firmly.

These blockades and street violence are not protests but attempts at terror and chaos. While ordinary people fight for Serbia, some prepare to tear it down. Police and the judiciary must act quickly and decisively to protect the safety of all citizens. This situation is a wake-up call for all of us not to let violent extremists shape the country’s future.
