Changes in Belgrade Public Transport Due to Roadworks on Paris Commune Street

Belgrade Public Transport in Chaos Due to Roadworks on Paris Commune Street!

This morning, public transport in Belgrade was running on a regular schedule, but not for long! Roadworks on Paris Commune Street and surrounding areas are causing a real traffic mess.

On July 25th, both right lanes on Tošin bunar and Radoja Dakića streets in New Belgrade will be closed. This means left turns from Tošin bunar to Paris Commune Street will be blocked, causing changes in bus routes 18 and 78.

These lines will operate on altered routes towards the neighborhoods of Medaković 3 and Banjica 2, and the bus stop near the Ninth Belgrade Gymnasium in the direction of the city center will be temporarily closed.

The Secretariat for Public Transport urges passengers to follow announcements and adjust their travel plans, as these changes will last throughout the roadworks.

Although traffic is currently flowing without delays, congestion is expected to be inevitable, leading citizens to wonder: Is this yet another example of poor traffic planning in Belgrade?

If you’ve already been stuck in one of these jams, feel free to share your frustrations in the comments – maybe together we can find a way out of this traffic labyrinth!

Changed Routes for Lines 18 and 78 – What You Need to Know

According to the Secretariat for Public Transport, lines 18 and 78 will run in the direction towards the city center via: Tošin bunar – Zoran Đinđić Boulevard – Studentska – Paris Commune Street, while in the opposite direction, traffic will run normally.

These changes are necessary due to regular maintenance works on Paris Commune Street and are expected to last until the works are completed.

Passengers are asked for understanding and patience, as the goal of these works is to improve traffic infrastructure and safety in this part of the city.

GSP: Traffic Without Delays, But For How Long?

The City Transport Company (GSP) announced that this morning traffic is running on a regular schedule with no delays on Belgrade roads. However, with the start of the works, the situation will surely change.

GSP has urged citizens to use alternative routes and follow announcements about traffic changes.

This is not the first time that roadworks in Belgrade have caused traffic problems, raising the question – when will city authorities finally manage to organize works without paralyzing traffic?

Conclusion: Belgrade and Traffic – An Eternal Drama

The works on Paris Commune Street and surrounding areas are necessary, but the way they are conducted causes frustration among citizens. Changes in bus routes, closure of stops, and lane closures are just part of the problem.

While city authorities claim traffic is without delays, drivers and passengers know the reality is different.

If you’ve already been stuck in traffic or lost in the changed routes, know that you are not alone! Share your stories and maybe together we can find a way to survive Belgrade’s traffic chaos.

And if you have a good tip or a funny story from public transport, don’t hesitate to drop it in the comments – maybe it will make us laugh or comfort us in this traffic madness!
