Belgrade Streets Passable, But Protests and Blockades Keep Coming!

Belgrade streets are passable this morning, and public transport runs on schedule, say GSP officials. But don’t be fooled — the calm is just a mask! Yesterday, citizens from the newly formed association “Social Front” blocked Nemanjina Street for about an hour, protesting what they call repression against workers. And that’s not all! Last night, students and citizens caused chaos in Belgrade’s streets — blocking the intersection near the Law Faculty, marching along the Boulevard of Arts, the roundabout, and Branko’s Bridge, creating total traffic mayhem. Meanwhile, public transport kept running as if nothing was happening. Is this just the beginning, or will we soon see Belgrade in total chaos? If you think traffic in Belgrade is boring, think again! These protests show that citizens won’t back down in their fight for rights, while the authorities try to paint a picture of control. So, who’s fooling whom? Got a funny or angry take on these blockades? Share it — maybe you’ll be the one to figure out how to finally calm Belgrade down or set it on fire even more!
