Blažo Bulatović: Son of Murdered Official Building Coaching Career in the Emirates
Blažo Bulatović, one of the most promising Serbian football coaches, at just 35 years old already has an impressive coaching resume. Behind him lies a tragic life story – his father, Branko Bata Bulatović, former general secretary of the Football Association of Yugoslavia and Serbia and Montenegro, was brutally murdered on March 26, 2004, in front of the association’s offices in Belgrade, and the case remains unsolved to this day.
Despite the tragedy, Blažo has continued to build his career in football, working with Serbia’s youth national teams, the Libyan national team, and several Serbian clubs. Now, he has landed the opportunity of a lifetime – he will coach the second team of Al Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates, a club whose first team is managed by former Red Star Belgrade coach Miloš Milojević.
How did he get this opportunity? Blažo revealed that the invitation came from Miloš Milojević and the legendary Milovan Đorić, who recognized his coaching potential. The system in the Emirates works so that the first and second teams play one day after the other against the same opponent, and the second team’s goal is to develop players under 23 years old.
Heavy life tragedies and motivation Besides losing his father, Blažo also suffered another tragedy – the death of his sister. Despite everything, he emphasizes that his father and sister are his eternal motivation to succeed in life and football. His story is one of strength, perseverance, and love for football.
