Užice is in chaos again! Blockaders have returned to the Ibarska highway and caused a total traffic meltdown. On Tuesday evening, vehicles were blocked for two hours heading towards Zlatibor and Požega. It all started with a gathering in front of the city assembly building, then the blockaders marched to the SNS offices and stayed in front of the Užice police department. Their demands? Release all seven arrested and replace the entire city leadership and the police chief. The arrested were previously detained for violently breaking through a police cordon while trying to block the highway. Among those arrested are Radovan Novaković, Pavle Cicvarić, Vladan Sinđić, Marko Radovanović, Dejan Ćosić, Branko Nikolić, and Aleksa Nikolić. Branko Nikolić fell ill due to high blood pressure and was rushed to the hospital. Two more blockaders, Marko Krejović and Branko Jovanović, were arrested for 48 hours for attacking the police. One police officer was injured. Tonight, blockaders were also seen in other cities like Kragujevac, Čačak, Belgrade, Konjarnik, and New Belgrade. This looks like a full-blown street battle spreading beyond Užice. So, what do you think about these blockades and arrests? Is this a fight for justice or just chaos nobody can control? Drop a comment and let’s see where everyone stands!
