In an exclusive interview with Aplus TV, former special anti-terrorist unit member Brajushko Brajusković dropped a bombshell on Montenegro’s political scene. He claims that former Prime Minister and head of the National Security Agency, Duško Marković, was at the top of the notorious organization known as the Black Troikas, above Veselin Veljović, who was previously considered the main figure.
Brajusković described how during his testimony before the parliamentary inquiry committee, he faced humiliation and was ignored by DPS MPs who tried to cover up the truth. He sat there for five and a half hours enduring pressure but stood firm on his claims.
According to him, Veljović was at the top of the Black Troikas, with his right-hand man being commander Miljan Perović. This organization was a source of evil and misery for Montenegro.
He particularly highlighted the case of Vojo Laković, a former security advisor, who he claims was a victim of an attempted murder. Laković was beaten to be killed, and Brajusković expects arrests to follow after his testimony.
He also categorically denied any connection to the murder of journalist Duško Jovanović, stating that he answered polygraph questions calmly and without fear and that he never entered the building where Jovanović lived.
Brajusković warned that his safety is threatened due to threats from people whose sentences were reduced by Veljović and Vesna Medenica. Nevertheless, he does not plan to back down and is ready to fight against lies.
This testimony has attracted significant public attention and could open new fronts in the fight against corruption and crime in Montenegro. The continuation of the inquiry committee’s work and new testimonies could shed light on the dark ties between the Black Troikas and the top of the former government.
