Bratina concluded visit to Russia by participating in panel on combating disinformation

Boris Bratina concluded his visit to Russia by participating in the Global Digital Forum in Nizhny Novgorod, where he spoke at the plenary session and took part in a panel dedicated to combating disinformation. The panel was moderated by Maria Zakharova, who emphasized that disinformation is one of the most serious political weapons that undermine trust between states and destabilize democratic processes. Serbia supports global initiatives to build a fairer and safer digital environment.

Political Perspectives:

Left: Left-leaning outlets emphasize the importance of combating disinformation as a tool to protect democratic values and promote transparency. They highlight the role of international cooperation and the need for fair digital policies to counteract misinformation and manipulation.

Center: Center-leaning sources report the event factually, focusing on the participation of Boris Bratina and the global digital forum’s goals. They stress the significance of international dialogue on digital security and the challenges posed by disinformation without strong political bias.

Right: Right-leaning media may focus on the geopolitical aspects, highlighting Russia’s role in the discussion and sometimes questioning the framing of disinformation, possibly suggesting that accusations of misinformation are used as political tools. They may emphasize national sovereignty in digital policy.
