Bus Carrying Serbian Children Stoned Near Srebrenik: Who Is Behind This Vandalism?

A bus carrying children from Serbia was stoned near Srebrenik, sparking outrage and calls for urgent investigation. The children, members of the Serbian Cultural and Artistic Society Krepšića from Brčko, were returning from a Petrovdanski concert when their bus was attacked. Fortunately, no one was injured, but the bus suffered material damage. The Brčko SNSD committee immediately demanded that police authorities in Srebrenik and the District take swift action to find the perpetrators and determine the motives behind this act of vandalism.

Miroslav Vujičić, a member of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, sharply condemned the attack, stating it is proof that intolerance towards other peoples still exists. He called on the competent institutions in the Federation of BiH to react promptly and take measures to prevent similar incidents in the future. Vujičić emphasized that in the 21st century, such events are disgraceful and only fuel unnecessary interethnic hatred.

The incident occurred during the night between Friday and Saturday, and reactions came quickly, but the question remains – who and why attacks children who were simply promoting the culture and identity of the Serbian people? Is this just the tip of the iceberg of intolerance in the region?

While authorities promise a swift investigation, citizens wonder how effective the measures will be and whether the perpetrators will be punished. In a time when we should be building bridges, not walls, such incidents drag us backward and remind us how alive hatred still is.

If you have thoughts on this incident or know more, feel free to share – maybe your voice can help prevent such things from happening again!
