Chaos in Belgrade: Vučić and Macut at War of Words While Streets Burn

Belgrade is on fire, and Serbia’s political scene looks like a boxing ring! President Aleksandar Vučić doesn’t hold back, accusing Rector Vladan Đokić of “attempting to overthrow the state” and showing “absolute irresponsibility.” While Vučić claims the situation in the country is under control and there’s no reason to worry, the streets are full of tension and violence. On the other side, Prime Minister Đuro Macut calls for peace, stability, and dialogue, condemning violence and attacks on police during protests at Slavija Square. But is that enough to calm the storm? Or is this just the beginning of chaos threatening to swallow Belgrade?

Vučić makes it clear he won’t talk to “terrorists” and those trying to topple the state, singling out Đokić as one of them. His social media post comparing the situation to a chess game shows he’s ready to fight with words and strategy. But street violence, brawls, and clashes with police prove words alone won’t cool things down.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Macut sharply condemns the violence and urges all parties to act responsibly. He stresses Serbia needs peace and stability, and that dialogue and law respect are the only ways forward. But while politicians bicker, Belgrade’s citizens suffer — violence, chaos, and insecurity become daily life.

Analysts warn extremists are gearing up for serious chaos in the city center, and solidarity and unity seem like distant dreams. Vidovdan, a day meant to symbolize unity and historical remembrance, is turning into a call for conflict and chaos. Will Serbia find a way out of this crisis, or will it collapse under the weight of internal strife?

As political battles rage, ordinary people wonder how much more they can take. How long must they wait for basic living conditions? How to protect themselves from violence threatening the streets every day? This isn’t just political drama — it’s a real problem affecting every citizen.

If you think this is just another political spat, think again. This is a fight for Serbia’s future, and our streets are the battlefield. Will peace and dialogue win, or chaos and violence? Take a look at this live chess game and tell us — who’s the next move? Or maybe you have a better strategy? Comments are open, so drop a line and let’s see who’s the real master of the game!
