Chaos on the Road to Montenegro: Traffic Jams, Expensive Sunbeds, and Empty Beaches!

The road to the Montenegrin coast is turning into a nightmare! Drivers are struggling with slow traffic near Užice and lane closures due to asphalt work near Zlatibor. The border crossing at Prijepolje is thankfully without long delays, but entering Serbia can be a slow ordeal.

And what about the beaches? Pržno beach, once a popular destination, is now eerily empty. Why? Because the prices for renting sunbeds and beach furniture have skyrocketed to a staggering 200 euros per day! Tourists, especially from the region, are fleeing, leaving empty rows of sunbeds and silence where there used to be crowds and colorful towels. The sea and nature remain beautiful, but who will pay such prices?

So, while you suffer on the road, the beach greets you with a cold shower in the form of prices that repel tourists. Is this the beginning of the end for Montenegrin tourism or just a bad season? One thing is clear — if you plan to travel, better prepare well and think if it’s worth it. What do you think about these prices and traffic jams? Is Montenegro still a paradise for tourists or just an expensive and stressful challenge? Drop a comment, let’s see who’s in and who’s out!
