Investigation ongoing after tragic train station collapse.

The Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Novi Sad informs that the criminal proceedings against thirteen individuals accused of a serious offense against public safety are being conducted before the Higher Court following the collapse of the canopy at the Novi Sad Railway Station building, which resulted in fifteen fatalities. The Prosecutor’s Office, in collaboration with the Anti-Corruption Department, is investigating suspicions related to the financial dealings of entities involved in the station’s reconstruction. The proceedings are in the preliminary investigation phase, and the public will be informed accordingly.
