China had 501 million trips, spending rose 7% to 677B yuan.

During the eight-day Lunar New Year holidays in China, 501 million trips were made, representing a 5.9% increase compared to the same period last year. Tourist spending rose by 7%, reaching 677 billion yuan. The average spending per trip was 168.9 yuan. There were 1.795 million trips to and from China daily, surpassing the pre-pandemic average. The increase is partially due to a 22.9% rise in the number of foreign visitors.
