Osijek has turned into a cockroach paradise, and residents are on the edge of a meltdown! While cockroaches roam the historic city center, the city invests only 50 euros in disinfection that barely partially reduces the number of these disgusting creatures. Cleaner Snježana describes the scenes as “terrible, disgusting, and slimy,” and biology professor Enrih Merdić warns that these insects are real carriers of diseases and allergens. Warmth, humidity, and available food are their perfect allies, and the only real defense is top-notch cleanliness!
