The crisis in the construction sector in Germany has led many companies to bankruptcy, including the Ziegler Group, which has filed for bankruptcy. Although initially wages were secured from the bankruptcy fund, more than 100 workers were laid off. The Ziegler Group, facing a decline in demand, is laying off 140 workers to enable part of the company to survive. About 650 workers are now employed by a new employer, the company Rettenmeier, while other sectors of the Ziegler Group remain in bankruptcy.
