Serbia is finally moving forward with the construction of a new Šid border crossing on the Croatian border, having established public interest and started land expropriation in the Šid municipality. Planned since 2019, this project aims to ease the flow of people and goods. But will this crossing be the long-awaited solution to endless queues or just another bureaucratic pipe dream?
