Construction of Highways and Express Roads in Serbia by the End of the Year

Serbia is intensively constructing new highways and express roads across the country to improve connectivity, safety, and strengthen the economy. By the end of the year, about 170 kilometers of new roads, including highways and expressways such as the Morava Corridor, Belgrade-Zrenjanin-Novi Sad highway, Danube Highway, and Fruška Gora Corridor, are planned to be completed. These infrastructure projects, worth several billion euros, create new jobs, attract investors, and enhance Serbia’s transport network. Besides road projects, investments are also made in water transport, with expansions of ports and navigable waterways.

Political Perspectives:

Left: Left-leaning outlets emphasize the social benefits of the infrastructure projects, highlighting job creation, improved safety for drivers, and the positive impact on regional development and economic equality. They may also discuss the environmental considerations and call for sustainable construction practices.

Center: Centrist sources focus on the factual progress of the infrastructure projects, reporting on the kilometers of roads being built, the expected completion dates, and the economic benefits such as attracting foreign investment and improving transport efficiency. They present a balanced view of the challenges and achievements.

Right: Right-leaning media highlight the national pride and strategic importance of the infrastructure development, emphasizing the government’s role in driving economic growth and modernization. They may stress the importance of infrastructure for national security and competitiveness, and praise the government’s investment in large-scale projects.
