Construction of the Svrackovo Dam in Arilje

Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Dragan Glamočić visited the construction works of the Svrackovo dam and water intake on the Rzav river near Arilje. The project is a major one and will ensure uninterrupted supply of drinking water to the citizens of five local municipalities. The dam construction serves multiple functions: flood wave mitigation, electricity production, and preservation of the river’s biodiversity. The project is carried out by domestic contractors and designers, with completion expected in the next few years.
