Kavač Clan Back in the Spotlight: Podgorica Court Confirms Indictment for Heinous Murder!
Thought the criminal clans in Montenegro were taking a break? Think again! The court in Podgorica has confirmed the indictment against four members of the notorious Kavač clan for the brutal murder of one of their own – Ljubomir Lainović. Yes, you read that right, this is a serious murder case that has shocked the region.
Who are the accused?
On the defendant’s bench are Radoje Živković, known as Žuti, Ratko Živković, nicknamed Zemo, Milan Vujotić, and Zdravko Perunović. They are charged with forming a criminal organization and committing a serious murder. According to the prosecution, their criminal network operated not only in Montenegro but also in Serbia and other European countries.
How did the crime happen?
According to the indictment, Radoje Živković organized the murder of Ljubomir Lainović in June 2019. Lainović was a threat because he could reveal information about killings of members of a rival criminal group. Milan Vujotić gave instructions on who would carry out the crime and how to cover the tracks.
The victim was taken to a forest near village G, municipality D, under the false pretense of firearms training. There, Živković killed him, and the accomplices buried the body in an improvised grave. The intermediary in Serbia received a cash reward of 20,000 euros for this monstrous act.
