Criminals with ID Cards: How Montenegro’s Former Regime Protected the Mafia

Imagine this: while mafia bosses were getting weapons and ID cards, the state was falling into the hands of criminal clans! Socialist People’s Party (SNP) MP Bogdan Božović revealed a shocking truth in the Montenegrin Parliament about the security system under the former regime. Yes, you read that right – criminals had ID cards and weapon permits, while citizens lived in fear as the state was trapped in a web of corruption and crime.

Božović claims that issuing personal documents to leaders of the notorious Zemun and Surčin clans was a systemic practice, not a coincidence. This dark infrastructure of evil, born during the rule of those who today pretend to be moral authorities, led to the spread of crime and corruption far beyond Montenegro’s borders.

The Škaljari and Kavač clans, whose bloody consequences we all feel today, are actually products of the former regime’s policies. For years, these clans spread fear and corruption while politicians either stayed silent or even protected the mafia. Božović warns that justice must catch everyone, and Montenegro must never again be a playground for organized crime experiments under government protection.

This isn’t just a story about the past – it’s the key to understanding today’s security situation in the country. If you think this is ancient history, think again. While some still pretend not to see, citizens deserve truth and justice. So, what do you think? Could criminals really walk around freely with ID cards? Drop a comment and let the people’s voice be heard!
