Daily Terror Against Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija: Who Is Behind the Expulsions and Violence?

The Committee for Kosovo and Metohija of the Serbian Assembly, in its session on July 10, clearly condemned the escalation of violence and expulsions of the Serbian people from the province. Violence Without Justice Imagine being expelled from your home within 24 hours without any legal procedure! This is exactly what is happening to Serbs in Kosovo. Fabricated court trials, unfounded arrests, closure of Serbian institutions – all part of institutional violence happening daily. Serbs are left without any protection of justice, while their basic human rights are ruthlessly violated.
Foundation Laying or Provocation? Is the laying of the foundation for two new bridges on the Ibar River really an infrastructure project or a provocation aimed against Serbs? The Committee considers it an unlawful and violent act directly targeting the interests of the Serbian people in northern Kosovo.
Dialogue or Ignoring? Although the Serbian side has shown full commitment to dialogue with the temporary institutions in Priština, the situation on the ground remains unchanged. The Committee called on the international community, including the EU, UNMIK, and OSCE, to pressure Priština to turn to peaceful resolution of problems.
Support for the Serbian Community The Serbian state, led by President Aleksandar Vučić, is making efforts to help Serbs in Kosovo through payment of financial entitlements, social benefits, and support for employees in closed institutions.
