Dejan Rusimović, a visual artist from Vranje, passed away on June 13 in Belgrade after a long illness. Rusimović began his artistic path at the Đorđe Krstić High School of Art in Niš and graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Skopje. He was known as the author of the concept for the cover of the first album of the cult Macedonian darkwave band Mizar and won the first prize at the International Biennale of Art in Gornji Milanovac. Besides his artistic work, he was engaged in pedagogical work as a caretaker at the dormitory for high school students in Vranje. His artwork explores the relationships between two-dimensional and three-dimensional forms, and he was recognized for his strong lines and specific interest in the problematics of space in art.
