Dialogue Between Russia and the USA: Gradual Progress and Challenges

The spokesperson for the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, stated that relations between Russia and the USA are burdened with numerous obstacles, making quick results difficult to expect, but a gradual effort to build dialogue has begun. A new round of negotiations will take place through diplomatic channels, with the Russian ambassador to the USA announcing that talks will be held in Moscow. Russia continues contacts with Ukraine regarding the handover of bodies of Ukrainian soldiers. Peskov also commented on European measures to cap the price of Russian oil, assessing that these do not contribute to the stabilization of energy markets. Russia is ready to provide services for the removal of excess nuclear material from Iran if needed, as part of support for Iran’s nuclear program.
