Disastrous Accommodation for Serbian Tourists in Leptokaria: Is This the Greek Nightmare?

Greece or Hell? Serbian Tourists in Leptokaria Faced a Total Disaster!

Imagine going on a well-deserved vacation only to be greeted by a nightmare room. That’s exactly what happened to a group of Serbian tourists in Leptokaria, Greece. Villa Helena, booked through a well-known travel agency, turned out to be a total disaster.

What did the tourists find?

Room number 99 on the ground floor was a complete mess. The toilet bowl was plastered over, probably to cover a crack, but the plaster was cracked and stained yellow. The sink was also broken, the grout was dirty, and the smell was unbearable. The bathroom door was a folding type and kept jamming. To make matters worse, a dead cockroach was found in the room, and there was an ant hill right outside the entrance. Under the sink, a piece of bread was sticking out, and the hinge on the sink door was broken, as was the divider on the fridge door.

In another room, the water heater didn’t work, so they had to flush the toilet with the shower. In a third room, a blind fell down, and instead of fixing it, the owner kicked it. In the fourth room, the faucet didn’t work, and the owner demanded 30 euros at the end as compensation for the alleged damage.

How did the owner react?

The owner, a Greek man who has been renting out the property for 10 years, reportedly showed no understanding. He yelled at the tourists, claiming no one had ever complained before. The tourists were shocked and ready to report the case to the tourist inspection.

Is this an isolated case?

Unfortunately, no. Similar stories come from Paralia, where tourists reported moldy walls, cockroaches, and spiders. After complaints, they were given better accommodation, but the question remains how many tourists have suffered through such conditions.

Why is this happening?

While tourists suffer from terrible conditions, agencies and owners apparently don’t care about standards. The price of accommodation is the same as in clean villas with lifts, which only adds to the frustration.

What do other tourists say?

Members of the Facebook group “Live from Greece” advise reporting such cases immediately to the tourist inspection. This is not just about comfort but also health and safety.

Conclusion

Greece, a country of rich history and beautiful beaches, should not be synonymous with dirty rooms, dead cockroaches, and irresponsible owners. Serbian tourists deserve better! If you’ve had similar experiences, you know what we’re talking about. And if not, maybe it’s time to rethink where you go on vacation.

And hey, if you think this is exaggerated, just wait until you see what else tourists are sharing online. Got a nightmare vacation story? Drop a comment and let’s all have a laugh or a shock together!
