Just when you think you’ve seen it all on the roads, drunk and drugged drivers come out to play like it’s a death race! Police in Prijepolje stopped three drivers under the influence of alcohol and psychoactive substances. One Škoda driver had 1.86 promille of alcohol in his blood, a Fiat driver was under the influence of cocaine, and a Volkswagen driver with a staggering 2.56 promille caused a traffic accident! Luckily, no one was injured, but how many more maniacs will risk safety on our roads?
This isn’t an isolated incident. Police removed all blockades across Serbia last night but filed six misdemeanor charges for various offenses. They urge citizens not to block traffic or endanger others. But while the warnings fly, drunk and drugged drivers keep tearing up the roads like their lives are a toy.
Who will finally put an end to this chaos? With drivers like these, every trip could be your last. Police are doing their job, but is it enough? Maybe it’s time for harsher measures and tougher penalties. Because while we drive carefully, these maniacs act like they’re in an action movie, and the consequences could be catastrophic.
If you thought this was just a Prijepolje problem, think again. These cases happen all over Serbia. And while the government focuses elsewhere, a real war is raging on the streets against drunk and drugged drivers. And us? We can only hope to get home alive and well.
