Imagine this: the E75 highway, one of Serbia’s most important roads, is turning into a traffic jungle! The public company “Putevi Srbije” announced that the asphalt laying on the right lane of the highway towards Niš, between Vrčin and Mali Požarevac near the Begaljica pass, has been completed. But don’t celebrate just yet — traffic patterns will change in the coming days, and drivers will have to navigate a new system that sounds like a nightmare.
The works are in their final phase — currently, horizontal road markings are being applied, and barriers are being gradually moved. By July 14, the barriers are planned to be fully shifted to restore normal traffic flow. Until then, drivers will be squeezed into three lanes going one way — the emergency lane, the driving lane, and the overtaking lane — while traffic in the opposite direction will alternate. Sounds like you’ll need a GPS, a compass, and maybe some luck to survive this ride.
This isn’t just a simple road repair; it’s a full-blown adventure for everyone who uses this stretch daily. Imagine the jams, the stress, and the potential accidents as everyone tries to figure out this new chaos. And all this for necessary works that will, once finished, bring better asphalt and safer driving. But until then — hold tight to your steering wheel and prepare for a hellish drive!
If you’ve already driven this route or plan to soon, share your experience or tips on how to survive this traffic madness. Maybe it’s time we all come up with a plan to survive this asphalt adventure without losing our minds!
