Belgrade is in chaos again, and the emergency services can barely catch their breath! In just the past few days, ambulance teams have responded hundreds of times, with the main culprits being traffic accidents and chronic patients desperately seeking help. For example, just last night around 10:40 PM, a traffic accident occurred in the city center where one person was lightly injured and taken to the Military Medical Academy. But that’s not all! Overnight, emergency teams handled over 30 interventions in public places, mostly involving intoxicated individuals. Is this the new normal chaos in Belgrade?
Another traffic accident happened on Paunova Street near the Banjica shopping center, where two people were lightly injured and treated on the spot. And what about chronic patients? They are the ones who most often seek help – patients with heart problems, acute coronary syndrome, and asthmatics. Even psychiatric patients are calling due to high temperatures, further burdening emergency services.
Is Belgrade’s emergency system on the brink of collapse? With hundreds of nighttime interventions, intoxicated people on the streets, and chronic patients unable to get proper care, the situation is alarming. Traffic accidents are happening one after another – just this morning near Ušće, five people were injured, one with severe injuries. This isn’t just statistics; these are lives depending on emergency services that are clearly overwhelmed.
If you think this is just another day in Belgrade, think again. Emergency services are at their limit, and we’re all paying the price. Maybe it’s time to ask – what’s happening to our healthcare system? While we wait for answers, emergency teams keep running from one call to another, fighting a chaos that seems endless. So, what do you think about this mess? Has Belgrade become a city where emergency help is a luxury? Drop a comment, maybe together we’ll find a solution or at least a good reason to laugh in these crazy times.
