The EU has finally decided to teach us all a lesson in energy saving – now smartphones and tablets must come with mandatory energy labels! But of course, Apple couldn’t keep quiet and immediately started whining that the tests are unfair, ignoring screen size, resolution, and that drop tests are done on only 5 devices, while they use hundreds for more reliable results. Apple even claims EU tests are so unreliable they had to voluntarily lower their own devices’ ratings to avoid trouble! So who’s crazy here? The EU or Apple?
