EU Orders to Leave Skyrocket by 18.4% in Q1 2024!

EU in Chaos: Orders to Leave Skyrocket by 18.4% in Q1 2024!

Did you know that in the first quarter of 2024, the number of people ordered to leave EU countries jumped by a staggering 18.4% compared to the same period last year? Yes, you read that right! Eurostat revealed that a whopping 28,000 people received orders to leave, while the number of returns to third countries increased by 6.4%.

Who are these people?

The highest number of orders to leave were given to citizens of Algeria (9%), Morocco (7%), and Syria (6%). Among those returned, the largest groups were from Georgia (2%), Syria (2%), and Albania (1%).

Which EU countries are the toughest?

France leads with 34% of the orders to leave, followed by Germany with 17% and Spain with 16%. When it comes to returns, France, Germany, and Cyprus top the list with 3% each.

What’s going on?

As Europe tries to control migration, these figures show that pressure on borders remains huge. An 18.4% increase in orders to leave is no small matter – it signals that the EU is getting tougher and migrants have fewer chances to stay.

Is this the start of a new era?

With this trend, we can expect even more tension and possibly stricter measures in the future. Will this really solve the problem or just deepen the crisis?

Your thoughts?

Do you think the EU is overdoing it or is this necessary? Or maybe you have a funny comment about how migrants now get a “get out” order faster than they reach the border? Drop a comment and let’s see who has the wildest theory!

One thing’s for sure: the numbers don’t lie – the EU is tightening up, and migrants are under fire like never before.
