EU to increase customs checks on e-commerce goods.

The European Union plans to increase customs control on goods delivered to EU consumers by e-commerce platforms such as Temu and Shein to ensure fair competition and product safety. This directive from the European Commission will affect all e-commerce sellers outside the EU. The control will focus on products that pose serious safety hazards and the risk of non-compliance with laws. Most shipments under 150 euros come from China, and the EU plans to address this issue to protect local manufacturers.
