EXIT Festival 2025: Legendary Anniversary and Explosion of Music Stars at Petrovaradin Fortress

EXIT Festival 2025: Freedom, Rebellion, and a Music Explosion at Petrovaradin Fortress!

Are you ready for the biggest music spectacle of the year? The EXIT festival, celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, kicks off on July 10 and runs through July 13 at the famous Petrovaradin Fortress in Novi Sad. This festival is not just an event; it’s a movement of freedom, unity, and rebellion that started among Novi Sad students 25 years ago and has since spread energy and tolerance throughout the region.

A Memorable Anniversary

This year, EXIT celebrates a major milestone with a special program featuring a retrospective of the festival’s most important moments. From its bold beginnings as a youth rebellion to its current status as one of the world’s most influential music festivals, EXIT has proven to be more than music – it’s a movement that brings millions of people together.

Sounds That Defined Generations

The main stage will feature Dutch DJ Tiësto, a legend of electronic music, performing at EXIT for the first time. The local scene will be represented by Serbia’s youngest punk band Wrishlas and Novi Sad legends Atheist Rap. The fusion stage will showcase regional hits from Nikola Vranjković, Amna, Helem Nejse, Crni Cerak & Lacku, Prljava Frekvencija, and Kapitalizma.

The Dance Arena promises a techno spectacle with genre divas like Nina Kraviz and Amelie Lens, alongside performances by Yousuke Yukimatsua and Dyen b2b Nico Moreno. Hardcore fans can enjoy Total Chaos, The Flame 69, The Drowns, Public Serpents, Heavy Lungs, Billy Liar, and Vita X.

A Special Multimedia Performance

The festival opening will also feature a unique multimedia performance called “Emergency Exit,” which through contemporary art highlights the values of community, freedom, and hope. The project is a collaboration with the Spanish theater troupe La Fura dels Baus, known for spectacular performances, with musical and visual segments by the Eyesberg and Satori collectives.

Humanity and Solidarity at the Festival’s Heart

EXIT also honors its humanitarian dimension. The 40th anniversary of the Live Aid concert, which gathered the world’s biggest bands in the name of solidarity and humanity, will be specially commemorated. The Boomtown Rats, led by Bob Geldof, the main initiator of Live Aid, will perform a set dedicated to these values.

Why EXIT Is More Than a Festival

EXIT is a symbol of freedom and rebellion, a place where music turns into a movement that changes the world. With over 25 years of tradition, the festival has become a meeting point for different cultures, generations, and ideas. It’s a place where lifelong memories are made.
