The “Bučini Dani” festival in Aleksandrovac has wrapped up, but not without stirring up some serious drama! Actress Gordana Đurđević-Dimić snagged the Grand Prix for her role as Đuka in the eponymous play by the National Theatre “Toša Jovanović” from Zrenjanin. Meanwhile, the “Golden Grain” award for best young actor went to Jovan Jovanović for his role as Nikola Popović in the play “Centrala humor” from Belgrade. But wait, there’s more! Vanja Milačić wowed the audience twice, winning the “Golden Grain” for best female role, and Bojan Dimitrijević delivered a stellar performance in “Silencing Socrates” by the Bitef Theatre from Tivat.
The festival jury, led by actor Goran Jevtić, didn’t hold back on praise — or controversy. The “Golden Grain” award is named after Radmila Živković, and this year it was awarded to Miloš Đorđević and Radovan Vujović for their roles in “Centrala humor.” The only non-acting award, a tribute to producer Milan Ji Obradović, was given to the play “Đuka.”
This festival was a real theatrical showdown, featuring five plays in competition, selected by festival director Jelena Stajković. But were the awards truly deserved, or is this just another backstage drama? Audiences and critics are split, and we bring you all the juicy details and real drama both on and off the stage. Think theatre is boring? Think again — “Bučini Dani” proved the stage is where the real battles happen!
So, what do you think about these awards? Did Gordana Đurđević-Dimić really deserve the Grand Prix, or should someone else have shined? Drop a comment, crack a joke, or stir the pot — theatre is alive, and we love a good drama, on and off the stage!
