Final Convictions for Abuse and Human Trafficking in Aleksinac

Four men from Aleksinac and one resident of Merošina have been finally convicted to long prison sentences for horrific abuse and human trafficking. The victim, a twenty-year-old woman, was held as a slave, raped, and forced into prostitution. The Appellate Court in Niš confirmed the verdict of the Higher Court in Niš, sentencing Zoran Bajramović to 13 years, his sister Danica Bajramović to 6 years, Oliver Mustafić to 13 years and six months, Danijel Zdravković to 8 years, and Zoran’s wife Egzona Tatari to 12 years and six months in prison. Dejan Petrović was sentenced to two years after pleading guilty. During the trial, it was established that the accused lured the victim via Facebook, physically and sexually abused her, threatened her, and sold her for sexual exploitation. The court found that the accused committed the serious crime of human trafficking and brutal abuse of the victim.
