Fires in the Region: New Normal or Total Chaos?

Fires in the region have once again shown how vulnerable we are and how out of control the situation has become. In Valandovo, a fire that broke out yesterday afternoon around 2 PM threatens to engulf the first houses in the village, with firefighters battling the blaze with about 60 people on the ground. Deputy Director of the public enterprise “Macedonian Forests,” Kireta Mihailov, stated that the fire line is long and fully covered, but the day will be tough due to high temperatures. Meanwhile, in Višegrad, a fire at the city landfill in the Nezuci neighborhood was confirmed to be arson by Željko Milošević of the territorial firefighting unit. The fire has been localized, but the thick smoke poses a serious ecological and health risk to the population. Clearly, this is not just about natural disasters but also human malice that complicates the situation further. Are we ready for these challenges, or will we keep pretending everything is under control while our homes burn? If you have thoughts or have seen something similar, feel free to drop a comment — maybe together we can find a solution or at least a hot topic for debate!
