Fires in Toplica District: State Responds, But Damage Is Massive!

🔥 The fires in the Toplica District have caused a total disaster! Agricultural farms have burned to the ground, with damages running into millions of dinars. Dragan Glamočić, the Minister of Agriculture, visited the hardest-hit farms, including the farm of young farmer Dejan Ivanović in Žitorađa, where everything burned down — crops, livestock, machinery. The most important thing is that no human lives were lost, but the material damage is huge and cannot be easily compensated.

💥 The Serbian government immediately responded on the orders of President Aleksandar Vučić and approved millions of dinars from budget reserves for initial aid. A commission led by Darko Glis has been formed, actively collecting damage reports from 16 local governments, including 5 cities and 11 municipalities. The goal is to help farmers as soon as possible and provide donations of machinery, livestock, and equipment.

🔥 The situation in the municipality of Blace is catastrophic — 5 residential and 19 auxiliary buildings burned down, along with 20 hectares of fruit orchards and grain fields, three tractors, five cultivators, and one passenger vehicle. The municipality president, Ivana Burgić, says they have never been in such a tough situation, but the support from the state and fellow citizens gives hope.

⚠️ Minister Glamočić emphasizes that the state will focus on preventive measures and improving the rapid response system for emergencies in the coming period to prevent such tragedies from happening again.

🤝 These fires are not just material damage — they are a blow to the way of life of people who have built their farms for generations. The state and local governments must be there so that no one is left alone in this disaster.

💬 What do you think about the speed of the state’s response? Is it enough, or is the damage already irreparable? Drop a comment and let’s see who’s for quick help and who’s for “waiting and watching”!
