Ford is in trouble again! The company has announced a massive recall of 850,000 vehicles in the US due to a fuel pump defect that can cause the engine to stall while driving. Yes, you read that right – your Ford could leave you stranded at the worst possible moment! The US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) warns that a low-pressure fuel pump can fail, which is a nightmare for any driver. Owners of affected models will be notified starting July 14, and Ford claims a fix is on the way. But is this just the tip of the iceberg? Ford has initiated 81 recalls this year, more than the entire last year! That means Ford is recalling a vehicle every 2.12 days on average! A total of about 4.16 million vehicles have been recalled this year, compared to 4.77 million last year.
