Fortune Tellers and Fraud: How a Vojvodina Mother Was Blackmailed Over Black Magic and Lost €7,500

Fortune Tellers, Black Magic, and €7,500 – A True Drama from Vojvodina!

Imagine this – a mother from Vojvodina, desperate and scared for her family, turned to a fortune teller to remove black magic. Instead of help, she got fraud, blackmail, and threats that have lasted for months! It all started in early May when the woman, convinced her family was under the influence of black magic, found a clairvoyant named Stepanija online who claimed to remove curses.

The first payment was a tiny 48 dinars for ritual materials. But that was just the beginning. The fortune teller demanded more money, totaling around €7,500! Yes, you read that right – seven and a half thousand euros! And not just money, but threats that her children would die if she didn’t pay. The mother was terrified, held hostage by blackmail and threats, while the fortune teller sent creepy stickers with skulls and demanded more money for “treats” after work.

Psychologist Dragica Mihajlović explains that such scams are common because people in tough life situations seek hope and help anywhere, often without thinking about the consequences. Instead of seeking professional help from doctors or psychologists, many turn to fortune tellers and magical rituals, where they are easily scammed.

In the end, the mother decided to report the case to the police and consult a lawyer, but the damage was already huge. Kurir tried to contact the clairvoyant Stepanija but got no response.

What Does This Tell Us?

This is not just a story about one scam. It’s a warning to everyone in tough times not to fall for superstition and false hope. Fortune tellers promising miracles for big money are often just scammers exploiting others’ misery.

If you’ve encountered similar situations or know someone who has been a victim of such scams, maybe it’s time to speak up loudly. How many more people need to lose thousands of euros and their sanity before they realize that real help comes from professionals, not magical rituals?

And hey, if this story sounded like a horror movie scene, feel free to share your thoughts – maybe together we can find a way to finally stop these scams!
