German companies are fleeing X, formerly known as Twitter, and it’s all because of Elon Musk! Yes, you read that right. Businesses in Germany, especially those with over 20 employees, are using this social network less and less, and the reason is clear — distrust and fear of the platform’s owner. A Bitkom survey, representing German IT companies, shows that a whopping 58% of firms either don’t post on X at all or do so much less than before. Only 32% keep up their old pace, while 3% have increased activity or joined only after Musk took over. But wait, there’s more! Advertising on X is in free fall — 51% of companies spend less or nothing on ads, compared to just 26% a year ago! Is this the beginning of the end for Elon’s network? French prosecutors have already launched a criminal investigation against X, and German firms are pulling back because they don’t want someone with such economic and political power controlling social media. Although most don’t plan a full exit, 11% intend to delete their profiles this or next year, and 43% are considering it. Is Elon Musk too powerful for his own good? 63% of respondents see him as dangerous, and 74% oppose the idea of people with such influence holding political roles. Only 21% believe Musk strengthens free speech. So, is X a threat or just a victim of bad PR? Either way, German companies are sending a clear message: Elon, slow down or you’ll be left alone on the network! What do you think? Is it time to delete your profile or just watch the collapse? Drop a comment and let’s see who’s brave and who’s just sitting and watching!
