Tonight marks the grand finale of the most-watched music competition in the Balkans – Zvezde Granda! After months of fierce competition, the top 20 contestants of this season battled it out for the coveted winner’s title, with the audience deciding the fate through SMS voting. And yes, you read that right – the number of votes was enough to fill a stadium!
Nikola Stanišić, a young singer from Skopje, wowed the crowd with his performance of the traditional Macedonian folk song “Macedonia, the Pearl of the Balkans,” winning the hearts of many. But he wasn’t the only star of the night – Elvis Mešinović, Zoran Ružić Ferari, and several others showed why they made it to the top.
Hosts Milan Mitrović and Ana Sević led the spectacle with style, while a touching moment came when Suzana Jovanović, widow of the late Saša Popović, presented a special plaque in honor of the Grand founder.
The voting was nail-biting until the very end, with multiple vote counts and reopening of voting lines, which only heated up the atmosphere. Contestants performed hits ranging from Halid Muslimović to Ceca Ražnatović, and viewers could vote up to 20 times for their favorites!
The winner will receive not only a prestigious statue and a plaque bearing Saša Popović’s name but also a new car, a song, and full marketing support for their future career. Other finalists won’t leave empty-handed either – Grand production prepared prizes for them as well.
