Growth of Digital Banking in Serbia in the First Quarter

The National Bank of Serbia confirmed a positive trend of digitalization in the financial sector during the first quarter of this year. There was a 5.9% increase in payments made via mobile electronic banking compared to the same period last year. The number of mobile banking users grew by 15.9%, while the number of electronic banking users increased by 15.1%. The largest contribution to this growth comes from mobile banking, which recorded 25.4% more transactions than in the first quarter of last year. At the same time, the use of electronic banking slightly decreased by 8.1%.
