Hajduković Exposes Trinaestojulska Award Scandal: Jury Broke the Law, Lawsuit Incoming!

Scandal of the Year in Montenegro: Hajduković Blasts Trinaestojulska Award Jury for Breaking the Law!

Did you know that this year’s Trinaestojulska Award jury in Montenegro made a serious legal blunder? Yes, you read that right! Dragan Hajduković, a scientist and candidate for this prestigious award, publicly accused the jury of blatantly violating Article 17 of Montenegro’s State Awards Law. How? By awarding three prizes in the same category – the cultural and artistic field!

The law is crystal clear, but the jury ignored it!

According to the law, only one winner per category is allowed. But no, the jury decided to hand out awards to three candidates in the same field: musician Miloš Karadaglić, writer Bećir Vuković, and graphic artist Veljo Stanišić. Hajduković demands the jury admit their mistake and redo the selection or he will take legal action.

An open letter and a ticking clock

Hajduković sent an open letter to the jury members, urging them to read Article 27 of the State Awards Law, which contains only 89 words, and publicly admit their error by July 3rd. If they don’t, he will file a lawsuit with the Administrative Court of Montenegro on July 4th.

Why does this matter?

This isn’t just a legal issue; it’s a blow to the integrity and credibility of state awards. How can anyone expect awards to be fair and deserved if laws are ignored? Hajduković is standing firm: either the law is respected, or it’s court time!

What do you think?

Did the jury break the law on purpose or was it a careless mistake? Should the state allow such slip-ups or is it time for serious reform? Drop a comment, share your thoughts, or just crack a joke about juries and awards – we love a good debate!

This is just the beginning of a big story about justice and fairness in Montenegro. Stay tuned for updates and remember – the law is the law, and justice can’t wait!
