Chaos in Serbia: Students Block Cities, Police Arrest, Government Silent!

Government and Police Reactions
Serbian Parliament Speaker Ana Brnabić said the blockades show the helplessness and frustration of those involved, as citizens did not want to join the protests. Police reported 76 arrests so far, with most blockades removed and traffic functioning normally.
The Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade announced appeals against court decisions that denied detention for eight suspects accused of organizing and preparing violent changes to the constitutional order. Police say they are acting with restraint but that offenders will be held accountable.
