Hearing of Suspects for Abuses in Rakovica Municipality

In Belgrade, suspects were heard for abuses in the Rakovica municipality, where illegal actions caused damage to the municipal budget exceeding 10 million dinars. Novica B., a member of the municipal council of Rakovica, and Igor V., a responsible person in business entities, denied the criminal acts. The prosecution proposed detention due to the risk of reoffending and influencing witnesses. Charges include abuse of official position, forgery of official documents, and money laundering. Novica B. allegedly obtained unlawful financial benefits for Igor V., who withdrew cash knowing the money originated from criminal activities.
