Germany considers €700 heating aid for low-income citizens.

A possible heating subsidy of 700 euros in Germany could assist low-income citizens, especially during times of inflation. The proposal includes an additional 300 euros for each extra person in a household. The Munich heating fund has been supporting citizens since 2022, with over 15,000 households receiving assistance. In Berlin, around 310,000 people were unable to adequately heat their homes, prompting the Left party to call for the urgent introduction of the subsidy. However, the proposal has faced criticism from other political parties.
