Hellish fires are ravaging Serbia, with Golubac and the Toplica district hit harder than ever! The flames spread faster than tractors, dozens of houses and hundreds of buildings are burning to the ground, and thousands of hectares of farmland are turning to ash. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Adriana Mesarović visited Golubac, where the fire destroyed 50 buildings in a weekend settlement. Some people lived there, and the government promises to help everyone affected by this disaster. At an emergency government session, a decision was made to allocate millions of dinars from the republican budget for damage repair, which will be distributed to local governments. Helicopter units, the army, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs gave their all to extinguish the fires, and thanks to their equipment and efforts, the situation is somewhat under control. However, the situation in the Toplica district was even worse. A state of emergency was declared in Prokuplje, Kuršumlija, Žitorađa, and Blace due to numerous fires sparked by drought and high temperatures. Several hundred buildings burned down, including a wood processing factory in the village of Vlajna. Farmers lost their crops, and domestic animals perished. The fire spread at an incredible speed, and the wind only made things worse. Although there were no human casualties, the material damage is enormous. This catastrophe casts a shadow over the entire country and raises the question – are we ready for such natural disasters? The government promises help, but will it be enough? What do you think about this fiery apocalypse? Maybe it’s time to seriously focus on protection and prevention! Drop a comment and let’s see who’s ready to fight this hell on earth!
