Have you heard about the series “Sram”? If not, it’s time to wake up because this HRT teen drama has literally exploded on social media! The second season of this series, an adaptation of a Norwegian format, has amassed an incredible 142.3 million views on YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram in just three months—from April 12 to July 1 this year. Yes, you read that right, over 140 million!
The most views came from TikTok with 56.8 million, followed by Instagram with 53.3 million, and YouTube with 32.3 million. Compared to the first season, which had 71.1 million views, this is a 100% increase!
But wait, it’s not just the number of views that’s impressive. The series had 1.95 million unique visitors on YouTube, with 44% aged 18-24 and 30% aged 25-34. Interestingly, the show attracted almost equal interest from teenagers aged 13-17 (6.5%) and middle-aged viewers aged 45-54 (6.4%).
Another fun fact—the YouTube audience is predominantly female (85%), with males making up only 15%. On Instagram, the split is 75% female and 25% male. TikTok’s audience is highly engaged—6.9 million users liked, commented, shared, saved content, or followed profiles related to the series.
The series isn’t just popular in Croatia. On TikTok, 32.6% of viewers are from Croatia, followed by Serbia at 22%, Bosnia and Herzegovina at 11.7%, Slovenia at 3%, and Germany at 2%. So, “Sram” is a regional hit!
Characters from the series have become real social media stars. Nora Klarić (Gita Haydar) has the most followers—71% on Instagram and TikTok—followed by Roko Marić (Tin Lekić) and Eva Šilović (Lucija Stanković).
The show’s music is also winning fans—on Spotify, the series’ channel has 16,000 followers, and songs like “Romantika,” “Lanterna,” and “Popstar” have seen increased downloads in the second season compared to the first.
The series editor, Maja Fišter, says HRT has successfully found a way to reach younger audiences with this show, but it also attracted older viewers. The fact that the series has viewers outside Croatia confirms the concept’s relevance and timeliness.
So, if you haven’t watched “Sram” yet, what are you waiting for? This series is clearly something everyone is watching and talking about. Maybe it’s time for you to jump on this viral train and see what all the fuss is about.
